Ten Years of Impact

What began as an annual fundraiser, The Tackle Childhood Cancer Campaign, to assist in providing precision genomics testing for children facing a reoccurrence of cancer, has grown into so much more - from multiple fundraisers each year, a board creation, increasing childhood cancer awareness, the establishment of the Patrick S. Barrett Endowment Fund, to finally, the receipt of our 501(c)-(3) designation.

Over the past 10 years, our two-fold commitments remain: Raising funds for cancer research and support at Riley Hospital for Children and raising awareness of this horrific disease. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, partners, and volunteers, we are proud to have surpassed $600,000 raised in support of our goals.

This year also marked a significant milestone in our organization’s growth with the achievement of our 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation, strengthening our ability to expand our fundraising support and steward contributions with transparency and accountability.

As we reflect on this progress, we recognize that until there is are cures for childhood cancers, we must remain focused. We celebrate our wins but our work must go on.

We continue to focus on 2 specific areas of fundraising. 1. We will continue to raise money for the PS We Love You Fund through the Unplugged For a Cure Music Fest and our Tackle Childhood Cancer Campaign each September. 2. We will grow our endowment fund through our St. Patrick’s Day event fundraising, The Shamrock Scamble Golf Outing, The Reindeer Run 5K/Santa Scurry 1 Mile and our Home for the Holidays event.

With each of these events, we honor our PS in all of our efforts and every time you see our green hand logo, you are honoring him along side us.
